This is a ridiculous holiday. I'm not one of those empty-headed romantic girls, but that's not why I think it's a stupid holiday. It's a stupid holiday because of its premise. One day out of the whole year to show affection? And on the other three hundred? Nothing, right. Stupid.

By that logic, you must think every holiday is without merit. Holidays are, as the name suggests, days in which we celebrate one thing or another. For instance, there is only one day to celebrate Christmas, though the holiday is now spread out into an entire season. There is only one Bonfire night.

So, the question that remains is if you dislike every holiday because of their narrow focus or if you truly do resent Valentine's Day because it brings to light the lack of affection in your life.
